Fires that ravaging in northern California since Sunday have killed at least 17 people and razed more than 46,500 hectares, according to official data.
This 17 dead from fires in California have been recorded in four counties: Sonoma (11), Mendocino (3), Napa (2), and Yuba (1).
At least 1,500 buildings, including homes and businesses, have been destroyed by the flames of 17 different fires spread across nine counties in the north of the state.
At least 25,000 people were evacuated in Sonoma County in the face of fire threats, of which about 5,000 are in shelters.
The fires of Tubbs and Atlas, with more than 10,000 hectares razed each in Sonoma and Napa counties, are the largest of the fires that remain active and remain uncontrolled.
The fires began, for unknown reasons, on Sunday night at about 10:00 pm local time (0600 GMT on Monday) and expanded rapidly from Napa County.
These areas of northern California are popularly known as a territory of vineyards and wineries where high quality wines are produced.
Donald Trump today approved the California disaster declaration for these fires and yesterday Governor Jerry Brown signed a state of emergency in affected areas.
