A hard year especially for music, who said goodbye to one of the great voices in the twentieth century, that of the “Queen of Soul”, who became great asking for “Respect” and who represented power, pain, darkness, the light, the redemption and the respect of the black community, as former President Barack Obama said after her death.
The legacy of Franklin and her imposing voice are part of the history of music in its own right, as are the incomparable performances of Montserrat Caballé, one of the best opera singers in history.
