This performance opens today Classical Theatre Festival of Caceres with a staging of the Spanish-Cuban company Mephisto.

The play is performed by eight male actors, that make roles of both men and women, in memory of the Golden Age drama , says Liuba Cid, responsible for the direction of this version of Molière.

“The bourgeois gentleman” (1670) is one of the last works written by Molière.

“The bourgeois gentleman” is a wry and acerbic comedy that this summer will be performance on the stages of Alcántara, Almagro and Olmedo.

The French playwright Jean-Baptiste Poquelin, Molière, (Paris, 1622-1673) wrote, among other works, “The doctor in spite of himself”, “The misanthrope”, “The miser” or “The Imaginary Invalid”.
