Lima/ The young spaniard woman of 19 years old, Patricia Aguilar, found by the Police in a sect in the Peruvian jungle with a month-old baby has been a victim of a “psychological abduction” by the Peruvian Félix Manrique, his father Alberto Aguilar said.
Patricia “went to tell one of her dreams through an esoteric web page” and Manrique answered her and “he gets to capture her by Internet when she was 16 years old“, her father says.
In statements to the journalists in Lima, where he travelled to promote the search of her daughter, the Spanish said that the girl was caught on the Internet by Manrique, who handled apocalyptic theories in the netwoek and who created the sect Gnosis.
Gnosis has denied journalists “the link” with the Peruvian, they have assured that they have initiated “a legal action for defamation” and they have said that Manrique was only four month in Gnosis and he was expelled for “strange attitudes”.
The Spanish girl left Elche (Alicante, España) when she was 18. Her family began her search until they found her in Peru, where Manrique’s sect had some women and children in San Marin of Pangoa, located in the jungle of the Junin region.
A one month old baby
Manrique´s detention operation allowed the rescue of three women and five children with “a high degree of malnutrition“.
According to the police chief, three children are children of Manrique´s wife, another one is the child of a partner and the one month old baby is the daughter of the Spanish, the police chief said.
Manrique, who is 35, is arrested and will be investigated for the alleged crime of trafficking in persons, charge that was reported by the father and the relatives of others of the women of the sect.
At 450 km from Lima
Patricia Aquilar lived with Manrique and the other two women in a rudimantary house in the Peruvian jungle, where the girl had a daughter of him, at the same time her family was intensely looking for her because they ignored her whereabouts.
The house was located in San Martín of Pangoa, in the jungle province of Satipo, which is located on the eastern slope of the Peruvian Andes, about 450 kilometres from Lima, a dangerous area because it belongs to the Valleyof The Apurímac, Ene y Mantaro rivers, controlled by dug trafficking and the remnantes of the armed group Sendero Luminoso.
Aguilar is in Lima, where she was moved with her baby and the other two women, as well as four children that the Police found during the operation. (July 6, 2018, EFE/ Practica Español)
