The Court of arbitration for Sport (TAS) has rejected the appeal of Russian Athletics by doping scandal and has left him out of the Olympic Games in Rio.
TAS maintains the suspension against the Federation of Athletics of Russia decreed by the Federation International of athletics (IAAF).
The appeal against the decision of the IAFF was presented by 68 athletes Russian, among them the zarina of the pole, Yelena Isinbayeva, and the Committee Olympic of Russia.
TAS has confirmed the validity of the argument of the IAAF which establishes that the federations suspended athletes may not participate in competitions organised by the IAAF, according to the Olympic Charter, “unless they meet specific criteria”.
By this, leaves the door open for some athletes Russian who “fulfill certain specific criteria” to be allowed to compete in Rio.
To compete, they having trained for several years in countries other than Russia, as well as having submitted to anti-doping tests by foreign agencies.
Only long jumper Darya Klishina, who won bronze in the 2014 European Championships, currently meets those requirements, as she has been training in the United States.
