New Delhi / On November 29, the Indian cinemas lived with authentic fervor the premiere of 2.0, the most expensive Indian film in history with a budget of 5.500 million rupees (about 78 million dollars), which has a cast headed by Rajinikanth, the “supreme god” of the cinema in the south of India.

Shortly before the premiere, thousands of Rajinikanth fans danced at the doors of the cinemas or made milk offerings in front of images of the star, which in this film full of action and special effects gives life to the robot hero Chitti for the second time, who played for the first time in the acclaimed Enthiran (2010).

“Three cheers to team of 2.0. The magnificent day has arrived “, celebrated in the early morning the sexagenarian Rajinikanth in his Twitter account, where the actor in films like Kabali (2016) has more than 5 million followers.

The producer of the film, Lyca Productions, also celebrated on Twitter having achieved the “amazing” figure of 1 million tickets sold online for the day of the premiere of the film, whose trailer has over 46 million views on YouTube.

The film, which is part of the Tamil film industry of South India known as Kollywood, also premiered in Telugu and Hindi, the latter’s own language of the powerful Bollywood.
