The 46-year-old death of socialist politics, Carme Chacón, caught the Spanish political class by surprise when it was about to start a few days off for the celebration in Spain of Holy Week.
Politicians of all the ideologies represented in the parliamentary arc have visited the ardent chapel of the first woman who, in Spain, assumed the duties of the minister of Defense, in the government of José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, on April 14, 2008.
That was not the only milestone. Carme Chacón´s images reviewing the troops in advanced state of gestation occupied the news of hundreds of media in the world.
Carme Chacón suffered from congenital heart disease that clinically advised against motherhood, but she left a son, nine-year-old, named Miguel.
The policy was also Minister of Housing.
