The opposing parties protested for hours on the streets against the National Constituent Assembly of President Maduro. Those violent confrontations ended up with 8 confirmed deaths.
According to Venezuelan opposition, 14 people died during the voting day, though the district attorney’s office has only confirmed 8. This rises officially to 117 the number of deaths since the protest started four months ago.
Several citizens and police officers were injured during the attacks which started after some protesters were dispersed by security forces.
A Venezuelan officer died after having been shot in the head during a demonstration and seven more officers were injured by an explosion in the east of Caracas.
According to non-official data, around 400 civilians are wounded.
Parliament president, oppose Julio Borges, has reiterated that protest will continue on next Monday and some days before because by choosing the Constituent “Maduro’s government is accelerating in its way out of the power”.
Thought the Constituent, Chavism is planning on changing the Constitution and remodel the Government so no institution can oppose to the regime.
