Historic political change in Andalusia (Spain)

Seville / Juanma Moreno (PP-A) becomes the first non-socialist regional president in 36 years in Andalusia thanks to the pacts signed with two political formations Ciudadanos, with which he will form a coalition government, and Vox.

In the investiture speech the candidate from PP to the presidency of the Junta de Andalucia expressed his reformist will and promised to maintain dialogue with “everyone, without complexes, without prejudices, without sanitary cords,” after the Andalusian people voted for “change”on December 2 last at the polls.

The agreement between the PP and Ciudadanos is based on 20 measures for the first hundred days of the new government, to which are added 70 more programmatic, among others to eliminate surveys or a law of depoliticization of the regional public administration.

“I am a normal person and I will govern from normality,” he said, paraphrasing Adolfo Suarez, the first president of Spanish democracy.

Moreno requested the support of the Andalusian Chamber for a change of cycle in this Community, on Friday will take office as president and from there will specify the composition and powers of the Executive, consisting of 11 councils, six for the PP, in addition to the Presidency, and five for Ciudadanos, who will hold the Vice Presidency with Juan Marin as incumbent.
