Where can I begin?
In Practicaespañol you will be face to face, and without an umbrella, with your real level of Spanish. Do not despair. Select the most suitable content for you, both by level, whether it is basic (A1 and A2), medium (B1 and B2) or advanced (C1 and C2), and by the subject that interests you the most. That is to say, start by selecting one of our news, one of our music videos, or one of our spots.
How can I work with the pieces of news?
1.- Read a piece of news at the same time you listen to the audio. Replay it as many times as you need until you are sure that, in general, you understand what is told.
1.1. Write down the words, expressions or phrases that you don’t know or whose meaning you doubt.
2 .- Wait! Don’t use the dictionary to find out its meaning yet: Play the audio one more time.
2.1.- Now, listen to the recording while you read the text, are there any words that you do not recognize in the audio? Write them down!
3.- If you have got to this point, congratulations for your tenacity. Before you give in to open the dictionary, it is time for you to watch the video.
3.1.- While you watch the news in video, check if the images can help you to understand some of those words, expressions or phrases you don’t remember. If so, write down its meaning. Still not?
4.-It’s time to open the dictionary. Don’t let lack of knowledge stop you. Don’t you have a dictionary online and you start to get nervous?
4.1.- Go to the English version and read the text trying to find out the meaning by of those damn words, turns or phrases that prevent you from moving forward. Not even like this?
5.- No problem! Now, you can look for them in the dictionary. Then with those meanings in your head start again at the beginning: read the news, listen to the audio and watch the video.
