Fourteen years after his first film (The Bourne Identity) and seven after last time Matt Damon played former special agent in The Bourne Ultimatum, the new film of this saga, titled Jason Bourne, reached top 1 in cinema box office in United States this weekend.
According to estimates from specialized website Box Office Mojo, Jason Bourne collected 60 million dollars in its releases in United States and 50 millions more in the rest of the world.
With Alicia Vikander and Tommy Lee Jones accompanying Damon in the cast, Jason Bourne, directed by Paul Greengrass, brings back amnesic former CIA agent to action more spectacular for trying to rebuild his past.
Star Trek Beyond
The second place of the films more successful this weekend was Star Trek Beyong, that added 24 millions dollars in United States and until now, collects 160 million dollar in total at international level.
Directed by Justin Lin and with actors as Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto and Zoe Saldaña, Star Trek Beyond tells how Enterprise craft and its crew crossing bounds of an unexplored area in the space where they will bump into a mysterious villain (Idris Elba), who will hold a sword over Federation of the United Planets head.
