Baghdad / Military troops of the Spanish mission in Iraq today sang the “happy birthday” to Felipe VI on the occasion of the visit he has made to Baghdad in coincidence with the day in which he is 51.
The king, who arrived in the Iraqi capital without his trip being previously made public for security reasons, met at the airport with the commander of the operation “Inherent Resolve“, US Lieutenant General Paul J. Lacamera.
Then, he moved to the Spanish airport hangar to talk to part of the military of the Spanish mission in Iraq.
Specifically, those that make up the Task Force Toro helicopter unit whose mission is to transport personnel and material both Spanish and from other countries of the international coalition which fights against the terrorist group Islamic State (ISIS).
While he was having a coffee with them, the military troops began to sing the “happy birthday”, which was thanked by the monarch with a grateful gesture.
The king later moved to the base of Besmayah, where most of the members of the Spanish contingent in Iraq are located. (January 30, 2019, EFE/Practica Español)
