Pope advises “climbers” of the Church to “play alpine sports”

Today, Pope Francis advised “climbers” of the Church to go and “play alpine sports” because “it is healthier”

Argentinian Pope made this statement during the homily mass he celebrates everyday in his house, Casa Santa Marta, while he was considering the Gospel’s Multiplication of the Loaves of Bread and Fish.

“There are climbers in the Church!”, he claimed.

“So many use the Church… but, if you like it, you go to the North and play alpine sports. It is healthier! Do not come to the Church to climb. Jesus censures these climbers that are looking for power”, exclaimed the Pope.

The Pope explained that the are three “attitudes” that “are not good” to follow Jesus: vanity, desire for power and desire for money.

“Vanity is dangerous, because it makes us be immediately proud and arrogant, and then everything ends there”.

While he was talking about power, the Pope criticized “climbers” who use the Church for their own advantage.

Finally, he highlighted that “those who follow Jesus for money, with money they try to economically take advantage of the parish, the diocese, the Christian community, the hospital, the school…”.

Francis finished his mass asking people to follow the Lord “honestly, only for HIM, without vanity, without desire for power and without desire for money”.
