Seville / The collapse of the PSOE in Andalusia, which has lost 14 seats and has remained below 30% of the votes for the first time since 1982 in regional elections, also opens the stage, after 37 years of socialist government, of a change in political cycle. The polls have awarded Vox, a party that arrives for the first time to the Andalusian Parliament with twelve seats, and Ciudadanos that double their seats.
The Andalusian elections have been followed up by the minute by the national leaders of all parties, who see in these elections the prelude to what can happen in the successive elections which will be held in Spain.
The irruption of Vox in the Andalusian Parliament with twelve deputies, next to the collapse of the PSOE, could cause the exit of the Andalusian government Socialists if the PP, Ciudadanos and Vox reach an agreement.
The participation in the Andalusian elections, the eleventh regional, has been the second lowest in the history of autonomy, with 58.65%.
PP, with 26; Ciudadanos, with 21, and Vox, with 12, add 59 seats, four above the absolute majority, while PSOE collapses to 33 deputies, the worst result in its history, and Adelante Andalucía stays at 17 (three less than those achieved by Podemos and IU in the previous elections).
PSOE has won the elections with 27.95% of the vote (almost 8 points lower than in the elections of 2015) and PP is in second place, with 20.75% (down six points).
On the other hand, Ciudadanos goes from fourth to third place, with 18.27%, almost twice as much as in the previous elections; Adelante Andalucia is left with 16.18% compared to almost 22% who joined the members of this confluence, and Vox has reached 10.97%.
The socialist candidate and regional president in office, Susana Diaz, has called all parties to stop the “far right” in Andalusia and the PP candidate, Juanma Moreno, has announced he will opt for the regional presidency and has called the parties that want a change to negotiate an agreement to end 40 years of socialist hegemony in Andalusia.
But the leadership of the next Andalusian government has also claimed the candidate of Ciudadanos, Juan Marín, who has appeared before journalists with the president of this training, Albert Rivera and that with 21 seats, twelve more than in 2015, claims “to lead the change “in Andalusia.
The candidate of Vox, Francisco Serrano, has said his party is going to be “the one that is going to propitiate the change in Andalusia”, which he has defined as “the reconquest”. (December 3, 2018, EFE/Practica Español)
