THE KING AND THE QUEEN PREDICE A FUTURE OPEN TO SUCCESS TO WORLD FOOTBALL CHAMPS

Mr. Felipe and Mrs. Letizia have predicted the world football champs “a future open to success, talent, effort and to be a great team”, after winning Mexico 2-1 in the grand final.

On Saturday, the Spanish women’s team U-17 reached their first title in the World Championship after winning 2-1 Mexico, with a two goals by Claudia Pin in the tournament which was played in Montevideo (Uruguay).

The King and the Queen congratulated the members of the Spanish women’s team U-17 and highlighted their “talent” and the “soccer lesson” they gave to the Mexican national team.

“Champs! World Champions U-17!!! There are no limits to your game and talent, what a lesson in soccer before the great selection of Mexico! Congratulations!, King and the Queen wrote in the official account of the Royal House on Twitter.

Besides, the President of the Government, Pedro Sanchez, expressed his joy for the triumph of the Spanish team and moved his “congratulations” to the team led by the Asturian Toña Is and said “all Spain” celebrates the first success of women’s football in a Championship of the world.

With the triumph, Spain premiered his record in a women’s World Cup after the silver obtained in 2014 and the bronzes of 2010 and 2016.

“It’s a dream come true, I still do not think I’ve been able to achieve this, I’m super happy,” said Claudia Pina, the best player in the World Cup.

For Spanish football, it’s also its third world championship – the first in the women’s category – after the 2010 World Cup and the 1999 U-20 World Cup. (December 3, 2018, EFE/Practica Español)
