THE QUEEN LETIZIA, HER DAUGHTERS AND THE QUEEN SOFÍA GO FOR A WALK IN A MARKET IN PALMA

Palma/ Queen Letizia and her daughters, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía, along with Queen Sofía, has gone together to take a walk and visit the L’Olivar grocery market, located in the center of the city, where they went through several stalls of the market and stopped at some fishmongers.

While Felipe VI embarked in the Aifos 500 to partipate in the second day of the Copa del Rey of sailing in the waters of the Bay of Palma, Queen Letizia, Queen Sofía and the two girls moved to the market, where they were seen smiling and relaxed.

The walk took place at noon, so there were many people making purchases that showed their astonishment when they have seen the queens, the Princess and the Infanta.

This is the first appearance in public of Queen Sofía this summer in Palma and the second time that we see Queen Letizia with her daughters, after the posed that starred last Sunday with the King at Palacio de la Almudaina.

On their way through the food market, they stopped at the fishmongers’ area, where they observed and exchanged impressions about the fresh products and chatted briefly with the shop assistants.

The small portable battery-operated fan that Sofía carried in her hand to combat the heat inside the market, considered the most important on the island, with a hundred stores, attracted attention.

At some moments of the walk and at the exit of the building, Queen Sofia has gone arm in arm with Princess Leonor, while her sister was holding her other hand.

Queen Letizia, who wore a wicker basket and a fan on her shoulder, wore shorts and a tank top.

Her daughters have also dressed in shorts and T-shirts, while their grandmother wore a blue and green printed blouse, long pants and a bag.

The queens have not made purchases, but they have bought two lottery tickets from number 53.025 to the seller who is daily in the market.

Before setting up the car to leave, they have walked down San Miguel Street, one of the busiest pedestrian areas of the center, which has also generated excitement among pedestrians and tourists who were on the terraces.

The Infanta Sofia has put on some sunglasses on the walk, while her sister was holding them in her hand. (August 1, 2018, EFE/PracticaEspañol)
