Trump sings Obamacare´s R.I.P.

The House of Representatives of the United States Congress has approved the bill to repeal and replace the current health bill, sponsored by Barack Obama.

It is a first step for US President Donald Trump to fulfill one of his main campaign promises after two failed attempts last month.

The text now passes into the hands of the Senate, where it is expected to undergo numerous modifications and go through a complex path for final approval.

Thursday’s House vote, where all Democrats voted together with 20 Republicans has been more a symbolic victory than real for Trump, who had suffered a major failure several weeks ago when a previous version of the law failed Enough supports and not even voted.

Trump has wanted to present the vote this Thursday as one of his great triumphs and has welcomed the Republican congressmen in the gardens of the White House to give a joint press conference with dyes of celebration.

Obamacare, as the Obama reform is known, “is failing” and is an “essentially dead” law, Trump said, noting that he is sure that the Senate will also approve his health plan.
