Madrid / The Brazilian singer Roberto Carlos has received two commemorative albums from his compatriot and former Real Madrid player Roberto Carlos for his 55 years of musical career.
The former Madrid midfielder has confessed that he owes his name to his father being a fan of the singer.
The career of Roberto Carlos began in the 60s, when on the other side of the pond ‘The Beatles’ revolutionized the musical world.
Roberto Carlos is consecrated as the Brazilian romantic artist par excellence with songs like ‘Details’, ‘Jesus’ or ‘Emotions’.
And in the last decade of the twentieth century becomes the first Latin American artist who sells more albums than the ‘Beatles’.
Roberto Carlos has been four times winner of the Latin Grammy.
The singer will give on May 23 in Madrid the only concert in Spain to promote his latest album ‘Amor Sin Limite’.
The album contains unpublished singles from the last 25 years in Spanish.
